My ventures into the world of apparel began with an exciting collaboration alongside a highly talented and creative team of designers from Central Saint Martins and FIT, focusing primarily on a series of distinctive outerwear pieces for American Field in Austin, Texas, and Portland Trading Co. in Portland, Maine. Together, we meticulously crafted an exclusive and limited collection of waxed canvas menswear jackets, thoughtfully integrating recycled leather suede and a rare bolt of vintage jacquard cotton camouflage fabric that I personally sourced from an old textile warehouse tucked away in Charleston, South Carolina. Every jacket was carefully and meticulously fabricated in-house following thorough rounds of material testing and prototyping, ensuring exceptional quality, durability, and wearability.

Leading the team, I worked closely with the business owners to tailor the collection precisely to the 2018 market’s needs, driving the project to a resounding commercial success by selling out completely in just one season and utilizing nearly the entirety of the vintage fabric stock available. Building on this solid foundation, I recently revisited the original patterns in 2025 to thoughtfully reimagine the jackets with a contemporary fit and a subtly updated aesthetic, ensuring the project remains dynamic and relevant as we prepare for a carefully planned new release in 2026. This ongoing development reflects my deep commitment to blending heritage craftsmanship seamlessly with modern design sensibilities and practical functionality.
